Letter from Dr. John Pingry to his wife , 1872-08-22
Scope and Contents
I write from the home of one of my pupils. When coming down from Millbrook last evening a gentleman addressed me by name and told me he was a pupil of mine in former days. I had planned to go to the Hotel for the night - but he insisted upon my coming to his home. A nice lodging and excellent breakfast have prepared me for the day. Where I shall sleep tonight, I can as little predict as I could have done yesterday morning - the ending of the day.
